Unlike most, I had the unusual experience of growing up in a household that held strong to living close to our ancestral roots. From healthy eating to consistent movement, healthy practices were common knowledge.
However after a period of experimentations with veganism and vegetarianism, coupled with the stress growing up and trauma, my health began to deteriorate. Struggling to live while fatigued, ill, and anxious, I began the journey of healing myself (w)holistically. Through this, I found that my ability to become aware and connect my emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual self allowed me to transform my healing experience into my own.
